        METHODOLOGY

Our award uses the GEM Methodology, developed by the Global ESG Monitor (GEM) — an independent think tank for Corporate Sustainability. GEM’s expertise is drawn from analysing over 1,300 reports from more than 500 companies worldwide.

            KNOWN FROM:

The GEM methodology is a rigorous, research-based approach designed to enhance data accuracy and consistency. It employs a three-step analysis, audit, and verification process to minimize errors and ensure objective findings, giving companies a reliable assessment of their ESG transparency and commitment to sustainability.

The GEM ASSAY™ methodology evaluates quality through transparency and context, integrating the latest principles from:

                  • European Sustainability Reporting Standards (ESRS)
                  • Global Reporting Initiative (GRI)
                  • International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS)
                  • Task Force on Climate-Related Financial Disclosures (TCFD)
                  • United Nations Global Compact (UNGC)

These standards provide a reliable basis for evaluating ESG reporting, ensuring comprehensive and comparable results.

Originally designed for the European market, the Global ESG Monitor Tool is aligned with CSRD/ESRS requirements but is adaptable to international standards like TCFD and GRI.
